We’re proud to announce a recent $20,000 donation to the Warren County Community Foundation.
The contribution is part of the Lilly Endowment GIFT IX (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) initiative, a statewide effort designed to strengthen local communities by building permanent charitable funds through community foundations. Through the program, donations are eligible for a two-to-one matching grant, significantly increasing the impact of local giving.
“We’re proud to support the Warren County Community Foundation and the important work they do for in our community,” said Donald Blume, CEO of Farmers & Merchants Bank. “Programs like the Lilly Endowment GIFT IX initiative allow local donations to grow into lasting resources that benefit the community for generations.”
With the matching grant, the $20,000 contributed by The Farmers and Merchants Bank will result in $60,000 in new funds for the Warren County Community Foundation’s unrestricted community endowment, supporting grants, programs, and initiatives that address local needs now and into the future.
In addition to this donation, Farmers & Merchants Bank has an unrestricted fund at the foundation, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to community.
“The Warren County Community Foundation plays a vital role in supporting charitable causes throughout the county, working with donors, nonprofits, and community leaders to enhance the quality of life for residents and our entire F&M family is proud to support that,” stated Blume.
“At Farmers & Merchants Bank, supporting the communities we serve has always been part of our mission,” the statement continued. “We are honored to partner with the Warren County Community Foundation to help strengthen the future of Warren County.”
